Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you enter a name or a birth year into a search box on this site, that input travels to the outside provider that runs the search. The provider processes the query and sends results back. We do not keep or log the terms you type on our side.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you write to us by email, we hold onto that message so we can answer it. It stays with our team. Nothing gets shared outside our organization unless a legal obligation forces it.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page loads, our servers record a handful of technical details about the visit:
- The IP address your device was assigned
- The browser you used and its version
- Your operating system and the kind of device you were on
- Which pages you opened and how long you spent on each
- The site that referred you, if one did
- A timestamp for every page view
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, which are small files your browser stores. They let us see which pages get traffic and where readers tend to leave. Analytics providers help us roll that activity into aggregate numbers. You can block cookies in your browser settings whenever you like, though a few parts of the site may not behave the same way afterward.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site online and loading quickly
- Passing your search request to the correct partner service
- Learning which pages help readers and which need work
- Finding and repairing technical problems
- Showing advertising that may relate to your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell any database of warrants or personal warrant records. We publish general guidance about where Midland County warrant information is held and how a reader checks it: the 75th District Court open warrant list, the Michigan judiciary's MiCOURT case search, the county Freedom of Information Act process, and the records offices at the Sheriff's Office and local police departments. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is turned into a consumer report or a file about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
The search boxes on this site belong to outside companies. Whatever you type into one of those tools is handled under that company's privacy policy, not this one. Those partners decide their own retention and sharing rules, and we have no control over them. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to court pages, sheriff's office pages, the MiCOURT case search, county FOIA pages, and outside search tools. Following any of those links takes you off this site, and the destination's privacy policy then applies to your visit. Read it before you hand over personal details.
Some advertising partners may follow your activity across sites to target ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information can reach:
- Search partners that handle queries you run here
- Analytics services we use for traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
We follow standard security practices for the data we collect. Nothing connected to the internet is completely safe, though. We work to keep your information secure, but we cannot promise that a breach will never happen.
Users Under 18
This site is built for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Michigan's public-records law, the Freedom of Information Act at MCL 15.231 et seq., governs requests made to public bodies such as the 75th District Court or the Midland County Sheriff's Office. Under that law a written request must describe an existing record, and the public body generally responds within five business days, with a possible ten-business-day extension. That law does not apply to a private site like this one. For data we hold, you can still ask us to:
- Show you a copy of what we have on file about you
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your data
- Stop certain kinds of processing
Updates to This Policy
This privacy policy may change later. When it does, the new version appears on this page with a fresh effective date. Come back if you want to track how your information is handled.
